Sonny's Bbq

Went on Monday night after seeing Christmas Lights. Wasn’t crowded. About 7:30 pm. Had the sliced pork plates for me and wife. Sides were Cole slaw, sweet potato, French fries, baked beans. Wife and I do family style and we share the sides. Sweet tea was good. Waitress was excellent.

While in the area we were looking for a local restaurant and not a big chain. Boy we hit the jackpot with Sonny's. The food was amazing. We all ordered something different and taste tested each. Everything was wonderful. The service was amazing. Everyone was so friendly. Would definitely recommend. If your ever in or near Jonesboro, GA.

First time customer but avid BBQ eater. I must say I was impressed with my order (4 meat platter- smoked wings, brisket, pulled chicken, baby back ribs), sweet tea, Mac n cheese, baked beans, cornbread, garlic bread, and banana pudding. I did a DoorDash order and when I got it was still warm. Unfortunately I got a visitor at the same time so I had to wait a few minutes to finally eat it and it had cooled off but I will say this- it was delicious even cool! The portions were very generous as well. The wings were phenomenal! Easily some of the best wings I have had. Flavor throughout and not tough at all. Ribs were juicy and literally pulled right off the meat with not meat left on the bone. The flavor was exactly what I expected. Pulled chicken was flavorful but on the drier side (somewhat to be expected with chicken tbh), definitely my least favorite from everything I got. The sliced brisket was juicy and the bark firm and full of flavor. The meat was also really good without the bark so well flavored throughout. The garlic bread was good but the cornbread was hard as a rock and I didn’t even eat it. The banana pudding was great as was the Mac n cheese and baked beans. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Angel was our server she did a fabulous job! She helped us make good food choices and catered to our needs. Our drinks stayed full and anything else we asked for was provided. Service with a smile from the moment we entered. The food was yummy, presented fabulously. We enjoyed our time at Sonny’s in Jonesboro.

I have gone to this location twice in as many days and even had my mom come up here once she tasted my food! The staff are SUPER friendly! I he Earnestine today taking my to-go order and she was patient and let me know information about the food that helped! I didn’t know smoky bbq was the hottest they had and I had to avoid it! lol I didn’t want spicy. She gave me more nuggets of information that helped me make the perfect order and we struck conversation. Adrienne/Adrianne (I’m so sorry if I misspelled her name!) the manager was super friendly and personable as well. I already felt at home and it’s only my 3rd time eating there! (1st time I ordered uber eats). Anyway, 10 out of 10 would recommend! Special shout outs to Dwight who served me the first time I came in store and MiiMii who served my mom. My mom said she was super sweet and Dwight was so nice to me as well!!! Thank you!!!

I haven’t had BBQ this good from a restaurant in years! The store was clean and the staff were courteous and genuine. Shylo went about and beyond to make me feel welcomed, not to mention she knew everything! This restaurant with its staff is a well oiled machine and I will be back. I left happy and full, 10/10 would always recommend! Thanks Shylo!
